Northside Staff Gathers Together

On June 25, 2013 the staff of Northside Elementary School gathered together for the first time at a staff retreat held at the Rigmore House in Chapel Hill. During the retreat, staff members spent time getting to know one another and participated in team building activities such as the Marshmallow Challenge and a collaborative history project titled: Making Our Mark From Past to Present.

The group also spent time exploring the meaning of the school's mission: Thinking, learning, and growing with purpose, persistence, and pride. Additionally, staff members learned about some of the technology, literacy, and math resources that will be available at Northside.  The group also participated in sessions on the Navigator Way and the Student Six which established a foundation for a positive school culture.

The retreat provided an opportunity for staff to come together as a family of professionals and built eager anticipation for August 26, 2013 when Northside will welcome a whole new group of Navigators into our community of learning!
