STEM Day at Northside

On Friday, April 11 Northside students, teachers, parents a community members participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Day. This celebration was part of the NC Science Festival. By participating in the STEM Day activities, navigators joined students across the state in exploring the many areas of STEM that are important to our states history, culture, and economy.

During the event students had an opportunity to visit 17 different stations and participated in hands-on activities where they learned and explored. Stations provided opportunities for students to learn about the energy needed for electricity production and the importance of conservation, to creating a tornado in a bottle, to exploring the science behind blowing bubbles, to visiting an interactive technology timeline to explore technology from the past.

STEM Day proved to be an exciting day for all who participated!
